this is how more and more Americans are beginning to feel. The Democrats are for themselves and their special interests, The Republicans are not far off either. In all of this both parties have left out the majority of their voters. The people often suffer when they go with either party that is in power today. That is one of the reasons why I am running under the Constitution Banner. The Constitution party, has a simple platform. It just makes sense, give the rights back to the people. It clearly states in the constitution who the power is vested in. The power is not vested in special interest groups or elites in Washington, but rather it is vested in ”Its only keepers the people.” If you agree with this take a look at our website www.cartwrightandtheconstitution.com

A man should work hard to provide for himself, and his family. It gives a man pride in being able to secure an income to support his loved ones.
“the industrious man is intitled to the fruits of his industry” Samuel Adams The father of the revolution
(Stop Taxing the people to death)
direct taxes or also known as income taxes, are a direct attack on this man’s hard work. In fact the original Constitution warns against a direct taxes. Historically the Colonists, and modern Americans today alike. Both get out of taxes some even going as far as refusing to pay them at all. Does this make sense: The people make money and the Government spends it. The People have children the government Drafts them to die in their wars. This does not full in line with our Constitution at all. The Government ignores its primary duty of keeping its people safe. Like Guarding the borders, and instead brings its big nose in to my house to make sure that my children are being taught the right things. God has given each child not to a community (Hillary), or to a Government, but rather to parents to raise.
Bill of Rights
Posted in Uncategorized on July 23, 2010 by cartwright522There are certain rights, such as the Bill of Rights. Which have been secured to us by almighty God. So who can take them away. Not this Government nor any other. Samuel Adams said: “[that men have] sacred rights and liberties wherewith God hath made them free” If God has made us free than who will make us slaves?

But when the People are oppressed, when their Rights are infringed, when their property is invaded, when taskmasters are set over them,(Czars) when unconstitutional acts are executed… Before their eyes, and they are daily threatened… when their legislature is dissolved!… in such circumstances the people will be discontented, and they are not to be blamed.
The Battle we are engaged in.
Posted in Uncategorized on April 9, 2010 by cartwright522Today marks the day General Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia. You may be surprised when you take a look at the history and see some of the main reasons why the South Seceded from the union. The battle was not about slavery until half way through, and even then it was only to keep the European powers from aiding the South. The south had been greatly taxed on its cotton market without fair representation. The states felt as if the Federal government was overstepping its bounds. They exercised their right to secede from the union peaceably enough. It is very interesting that when Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, the only slaves he only freed were those in the south (over which he technically had no control), not the slaves under his own control in the middle states. Slavery is very evil, but it did not become an issue in the war until 1863, two years into this bloody battle. The true cause of the war was disagreement over who holds the power, the states or the federal government. This battle was fought peaceably in 1790′s with the Kentucky and the Virginia Resolutions. Madison was both the author of the Constitution and the author of the Virginia Resolution. Thomas Jefferson was the author of the Kentucky Resolution, as well as the Declaration of Independence. Today we have this same battle going on. Hopefully we can keep it peaceable. Who has the power? Is it with the states and ultimately the people, or the federal government?
Why I am running
Posted in Uncategorized on March 27, 2010 by cartwright522I am running to give the people of Portage county Ohio a voice. I Am running third party so that I can do just that. I won’t have some corporation or some huge party trying to tell me how to vote. I am also not running Republican or Democrat because I want to be a part of the solution not the problem. Both of those parties are to blame for the current mess our country is in. I want the people here in this great county to be represented by one of them. I have been living and working here for over 20 years. I believe my duty as a Congressmen is to serve the people.
